Do I need a referral first?
You do not require a referral to attend our practice.
You are however required to obtain a referral/mental health care plan from your GP or psychiatrist should you be wanting to claim a medicare rebate under the Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP).

How many sessions will I need?
The amount of sessions required is dependant on your particular needs and your goals of therapy. Your practitioner will work with you to continually assess what is best required for you.

Do you offer medicare rebates?
Yes, we offer Medicare rebates.
Please ensure your medicare details are provided and you have a referral from your GP and a Mental Health Care Plan, then you are entitled to up to 10+ sessions through Medicare. Following your bill being paid in full we will then submit your claim to Medicare for your rebate on the day following your visit.

Do you see NDIS/DVA/Workcover clients?
Unfortunately not at this stage. We require payment upfront, however you can then seek reimbursement for your NDIS/DVA/Workcover claim. With private health insurance, you may be eligible to claim partial costs of the consultation fee.

Does Kempt Minds Bulk Bill?
No, at present Kempt Minds does not bulk bill as it is a private psychology practice.

Can I form an integrated health care team?
Yes. If Kempt Minds has received informed consent from you to touch base with your other healthcare providers (such as your GP, dietician, or school guidance counsellor) then collaborative support can be greatly beneficial.

We offer services for ages 18+ years. We currently do not provide therapeutic care to children and teens.

Cancellation Policy
If unable to keep an appointment, Kempt Minds requires 48 hours notice. This reasonable notice is required as a courtesy to your Kempt Minds practitioner and other clients who are waiting and may require care. Appointments that are cancelled or not attended within this time period will be charged a cancellation session fee that is not claimable through Medicare. The appointment deposit is non-refundable. Should you need to cancel outside of the 48 hour period, this deposit can be credited for another session at Kempt Minds.
